NA Piarsaigh’s All-Ireland ambitions came to an end on Saturday evening when they lost to Portumna 1-15 to 1-11.

The three time champions from Galway strick 1-1 in the opening minutes to unsettle the Limerick champions and the Caherdavin men never recovered to find their true form.

At half time in Thurles it was level 0-9 to 1-6 but Portumna powered ahead in the second half to lead 1-14 to 0-11 entering the final 10-minutes.
