there was a full house at the Hunt Museum on Saturday for the launch of a new book by Limerick city native Mae Clancy-Leonard.
My Home Is There 2 is a collection of Mae’s work, most of which was broadcast on the popular Sunday Miscellany on RTE Radio 1. It is published by The Limerick Writers Centre.
Launching the book, Limerick Leader editor Alan English said that Mae was “a writer of real insight and empathy, who has a rare ability to connect with her audience in a moving way”.
The collection, he added, was “highly readable” and would make for “an ideal Christmas present”.
The author herself said she was thrilled with the production by the Limerick Writers Centre and was “very, very proud” of the book. Sales of the book were brisk at the launch. The book is available in local bookshops.
