LIMERICK FC played English Premier League champions Manchester City in a high-profile friendly recently in Thomond Park, with the English club running out 4-0 winners.

Over 20,000 people attended the match, which featured a host of top line Man City players. Organisers hope that it will be the first of many high-profile friendlies organised in Limerick over the coming years.
