SEVERAL Ireland stars, including out-half Ronan O’Gara and utility back Keith Earls, look set to be included in Munster’s squad for Saturday’s crucial RaboDirect PRO12 tie with Benetton Treviso in Italy.

O’Gara, Earls, Donnacha Ryan and Peter O’Mahony all trained with Munster earlier this week followingf the postponement of Ireland’s scheduled RBS Six Nations clash with France in Paris on Saturday night.

The lack of gametime is likely to result in the international seeing game time for Munster in Italy this weekend. Ireland resume their Six Nations programme against Italy at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday week, February 25.

Munster will be hoping to resume their progamme of games in the PRO12 against Treviso at the Stadio di Monigo this Saturday (3.15pm kick-off Irish time) with a win as their scheduled fixture against Aironi last weeked was postponed due to snow and ice in Italy.

Munster are now clinging to the fourth and final play-off spot in the PRO12 table.

Full-back Felix Jones who made a sucessful return to action following a six-month lay off through injury in Shannon’s AIL tie with Young Munster at Thomond Park on Friday night may also be included in the Munster squad for the trip to Treviso.

Jones trained with the Munster squad at UL this Monday. The squad fly out to Italy this Thursday

Munster forwards’ coach Anthony Foley said: “We would like to think the Irish internationals who have trained with us today (Monday) will be available (for the Treviso match).

“The boys were sent back from national camp to train with us today (Monday). We accommodated that and we will see where that leads us when we travel on Thursday.

“Felix (Jones) came through fine. He trained fully today. He looked sharp. There was good chat out of him.

“It is great. Having him available is like signing another player. he has not been with us all season, getting injured in a pre-World Cup game.

“We are delighted to have him back in.

“In relation to Felix (Jones) and the other players coming back from injury, we will decide whether they are involved in the PRO12 fixture against Treviso or for their clubs in the AIL based on their needs.

“It is great to have the likes of Tommy O’Donnell and Mike Sherry fit and available again.

“It gives a bit of competition around the squad.”
