AIL Division 1A leaders Garryowen travel to play Cork Con at 2.30pm on Saturday looking to extend their lead at the top of the table.

TABLE toppers Garryowen will be looking to carry their excellent form of 2012 into the New Year by capturing Cork Con’s prized scalp at Temple Hill this Saturday.

This weekend’s tie is the first of two meetings between the Munster heavyweights in the coming weeks with the ‘light blues’ Hosting Con’ at Dooradoyle on February 2. In Between, Tom Tierney’s side host second-placed Lansdowne on Saturday, January 26.

It’s a demanding fixture list for Garryowen, but their young charges have proven themselves up to the task to date.

Garryowen - with six wins from seven outings - currently enjoy a one-point lead over Lansdowne and have a six-point advantage over Munsters’.
