ST Kieran’s fairytale season ended in Mallow on Sunday when they were beaten 1-11 to 0-12 by Cork champions Kildorrery in the Munster Club JHC Final.
St Kieran’s were 0-8 to 0-5 ahead at the break but an injury to star forward Donie Nolan just before half-time was a massive blow and Kildorrery fought back in the second half.
A goal from Peter O’Brien proved the crucial score in the second half as the Cork champions did just enough to hold on in a rip-roaring contest.
