Ballylanders maintained their interest in the Limerick SFC last weekend when they got the better of Newcastle West

Kieran O’Callaghan was the star man for Ballylanders as they maintained their interest in the Limerick SFC thanks to a 2-14 to 0-8 win over Newcastle West in Kilmallock on Sunday.

O’Callaghan kicked 12 points (11 frees) as Ballylanders ended the 100% record of Newcastle West. The result also keeps Ballylanders in contention for a place in the knockout stages of this year’s championship.

Centre-back Pa Fox goaled to help the winners to a 1-7 to 0-4 lead at the break. And an early second-half goal from Mark O’Connell put the game beyond doubt.
