Fr Casey's Derry O'Connor takes on the St Kieran's defence in the Limerick SFC at the weekend

FR Casey’s maintained their perfect record in Group 2 of the Limerick SFC with a 2-11 to 2-8 win over St Kieran’s at Newcastle West helping them secure a semi-final spot.

The first of two goals from full forward Jim Donovan helped Kieran’s into a 1-4 to 0-5 interval lead after an entertaining period. When Donovan cracked home his second goal four minutes into the second half, the Saints were four points to the good.

However, a resolute Fr Casey’s side came storming back through the third quarter. Top scorer Padraig McEnery in the 40th minute brought his side level and a second goal for the Abbeyfeale side from Robert Browne in the 52nd minute guided them to victory.
