The Limerick city secondary school travel to Cashel to play De La Salle in a winners-take-all encounter, which has a 2.00 start

Victory for Castletroy would ensure Limerick have a record three teams in the quarter-finals of the Munster senior A colleges hurling championship.

Already Ardscoil Ris and Doon CBS have booked their place in the last eight, along with Our Lady’s Templemore, Thurles CBS, Dungarvan and Blackwater.

Last year they lost out to city rivals Ardscoil Ris at the quarter-final stage.

Again in round one this season, Castletroy failed to the cross-city rivals.

But they regrouped with to beat St Colmans of Fermoy and draw with Clonmel CBS to put themselves in position to reach another knockout phase.

However, they face a De La Salle side that have only suffered one defeat - last week’s single point defeat to table-toppers Ardscoil Ris.

Castletroy College are managed by teachers Trevor Griffin and Declan Fitzgerald.

They are backboned by players from the Monaleen and Ahane GAA clubs.
