DANCE Limerick has announced a new season of classes, workshops and performances.
The dance resource organisation, based in St John’s Church in the city, is starting a new season of dance classes this week, aimed at all ages and levels, offering “an opportunity for everyone to get moving”.
The programme includes dance classes for adults – contemporary dance and ballet – dance club for tots, 5-8 years, 9-14 and classes for professional dancers and those at an advanced level. Teachers for each class have been carefully selected.
It also runs Limerick Youth Dance, an ensemble for young dancers aged between 15-25 years and new members are welcome to join the group.
“Our role is to promote dance in Limerick, so we aim to provide opportunities for dance to be created and experienced by all ages and by professional and non-professional dancers alike,” said Jenny Traynor, director of Dance Limerick.
“We’re very excited about the new season and hope people will take the opportunity of the new year to get moving,” she added.
