PHOTOGRAPHY students at the Limerick College of Further Education will unveil work in their annual exhibition today in the Absolute Hotel.
The exhibition by first and second year photography learners will run in the hotel on Sir Harry’s Mall for the entire year.
Spain was the destination for this year’s photography department tour, where photography teachers and learners had the opportunity to visit various towns and cities.
A selection of the images, captured by learners on the trip, will also be displayed on the opening night.
Members of the public interested in purchasing any of the works can do so by contacting the relevant learners directly.
Eoin McCarthy, LCFE photography department, said “staging an exhibition like this requires a huge commitment on the part of the learners and the teaching staff at the College.
“We are really looking forward to giving members of the public an all year opportunity to view the calibre of work produced by the photographic learners, who only began to study photography full time in September 2013/14.” It will be launched at 7.30pm.
The college is currently accepting enrolments for courses commencing September next.
They run two, one-year, full time programmes, including a higher professional diploma in photography course. See their Facebook page.
