A LIMERICK woman said it was a “miracle” after she took part in her third Winning Streak in ten years and won more than €45,000 in the process.

Joan Casey, O’Connell Avenue, told the Limerick Leader that Saturday night’s game show success was her best yet, going home to the city with the cash, which included the price of a new Suzuki car.

“It was fabulous. I had no nerves and I had a great time. They give you a great day out and they look after your guests, and give you a buffet and everything,” she said.

“You start to get nervous when it is getting closer to your turn, but they really make you feel comfortable and put you at ease. Beforehand, they will speak to you about the show; about the good and bad parts of what can happen. They’re very good,” she added.

Ms Casey’s first time on the show was in 2003 with Derek Mooney, and her second time was under two years ago with fellow Limerick woman Geri Maye.

“I consider it a miracle to get on the show for even a third time. I had such a great experience,” she added. of Saturday’s success.
