The Farmer of Lisheen is the show that has everything – music, singing, comedy, romance, dance, a good story and great characters.
Talented young Edel O’Driscoll and Oliver O’Driscoll from Pallasgreen take centre stage in Dreamtime Theatre’s Farmer of Lisheen. Oliver takes the title role while Edel plays Mary Kate in the summer show. The play tells the story of the Farmer of Lisheen, who visits the lovely young widow of his recently deceased best friend hoping to collect an outstanding debt. However, matters of the heart get in the way and the way to true love is never smooth. Inspired by the music of Joe Dolan, romantic novels and chocolate chip cookies it has something for all tastes and ages. Fiona Lawton, Pallasgreen is involved in the stage/lighting of the performance that is on in the Marian Hall in Tipperary Town this Thursday, July 18 and Saturday, July 20 at 8.30pm with a matinee on Tuesday, July 23 at 2pm. Tickets €14, concessions €10 and students €5.
