A BRAND new devised comedy will offer a rugby free zone in Limerick this Saturday.

The Weyward Sisters, featuring Marie Boylan, Cora Fenton and Joanne Ryan, will be the final piece performed for the month long Pulse II, the theatre legacy project for City of Culture.

The Weyward Sisters is a black comedy about three sisters who have spent thousands of years creating havoc in the world and who realise they need a mini-break and chose Ireland as their destination.

The new work is inspired by Shakespeare’s Macbeth, Hesiod’s The Fates and The Morrígan which feature three sisters - harbingers of darkness, chaos and strife.

The piece will take place for one night only this Saturday at the Limerick Theatre and Performance HUB in Red Cross Hall, at 8pm.

Tickets are €7 and include a post-show reception. Call 087 6047262 to book.
