Na Piarsaigh’s brilliant year continued on Sunday when they booked their place in the Munster club senior hurling final.
The Caherdavin club has dominated the club hurling scene in Limerick this season and now it appears they want to conquer Munster as well.
In their first ever appearance in the Munster senior club hurling championship, the new Limerick SHC champions travelled to Walsh Park and a rousing second half performance saw the men in light blue overcome the Waterford champions. The thrilling victory books Na Piarsaigh a Munster final spot on November 27 against Clare’s Crusheen in Semple Stadium.
Na Piarsaigh trailed 0-10 to 0-4 at the break but two second-half goals from Shane Dowling and one from David Breen helped ensure a famous win.
