Munster's James Cronin excited by Barbarians role

The Barbarians train in Old Crescent RFC ahead of their tie with Tonga this Friday night

MUNSTER'S front row pairing of James Cronin and Brian Scott will both start for the Barbarians tomorrow night at Thomond Park against Tonga. (Kick off 7.30pm)

Former Munster star Donncha O'Callaghan, who has spent most of this week in Sierra Leone with UNICEF, will be on the bench alongside his fellow former Irish international John Muldoon.

The side on the night will be captained by England's Geoff Parling. Both Quinn Roux and Jordi Murphy, who are selected in the pack, will be looking for much needed game time ahead of Ireland's clash with Fiji next weekend at the Aviva.

New Zealand's George Bridge will line out at full back, while Vince Aso and Taqele Naiyaravoro make up the back three. Fans will be disappointed that Julien Saves will not be lining out for the famous club side.

The side in full is below.
