Crescent College's Hurley enjoys European glory

CRESCENT College Comprehensive’s Daniel Hurley was a member of the Ireland U-18 7’s side who were crowned champions at the Rugby Europe Championship in Bucharest, Romania last weekend.

Ireland U-18s beat a strong French team 31-5 in the final to claim the title.

Ireland proved too strong for their Pool C opponents on Saturday, beating Moldova, hosts Romania and Israel in comprehensive fashion.

Ireland booked their semi-final spot with a 26-12 win over Russia before Ireland ran in six tries against Portugal to win 36-0 and seal their place in the final against the France.
