Limerick FC win again to go ten points clear
Limerick FC completed the first phase of games in the SSE Airtricity League First Division unbeaten thanks to a 3-0 win over Cabinteely in the Markets Field on Saturday night.
A 35th minute goal from Garbhan Coughlan gave Limerick a 1-0 lead at the break and an own goal from Cabinteely captain Kevin Knight made it 2-0 in the 55th minute before Shane Tracy made it 3-0 late on.
Limerick are now 10 points clear at the top with a maximum 21 points from seven games. Next up is a clash with Premier division side Wexford Youths on Tuesday in the EA Sports Cup while next Friday Limerick are away to UCD in the league.
