This game is a repeat of their 2012 semi-final clash which St Munchin’s College won 17-13.

St Munchin’s team captain Lee Nicholas (pictured) is one of 13 survivors from last year’s squad which suffered a heart-breaking one-point final defeat to Rockwell College. Five players, Edward O’Keeffe, Luke O’Halloran, Shane Airey, James Clancy and Nicholas played in that Thomond Park decider. Twelve members of the squad have played for Munster under-age sides this season, including Ben Kilkenny, nephew of Keith Wood, while Dan Goggin lined out for Munster and Ireland at U-19 level. PBC, who boast former Munster start Mick O’Driscoll in their backroom team, have 9 representative players, including Paul Kiernan, son of former Dolphin and Ireland centre, Michael.
