Crescent Comprehensive for the defence of their Munster Schools Cup off to a wining start thanks to a 10-0 win over CBC in Tom Clifford Park on Wednesday.
First-half tries from captain Caolan Moloney and Niall Mulcahy helped Crescent to a 10-0 lead at the break and it stayed that way to the finish.
Crescent now play Glenstal in the quarter-final while CBC, pre-tournament favourites, must come back to Limerick again to face Ardscoil Ris. The other quarter-finals will see Castletroy have home advantage against PBC while St Munchin’s will have to go to Tipperary to play Rockwell.
