THE three Munster Schools Senior Cup quarter-finals which were due to be played today, Wednesday, and tomorrow, Thursday, have been postponed due to the adverse weather conditions.

THE three Munster Schools Senior Cup quarter-finals which were due to be played today, Wednesday, and tomorrow, Thursday, have been postponed due to the adverse weather conditions.

The quarter-final ties between holders Crescent College Comprehensive and PBC, Ardscoil Ris and CBC due to be played today, Wednesday, and the clash of St Munchin’s College and Rockwell College due to have been staged tomorrow, Thursday, are now postponed until the week of February 25 and 26.

As a result, the four Munster Schools Junior Cup quarter-finals which were due to take place that week have been put back.

Full details of the new fixtures will be released later today.

Castletroy College secured their place in the semi-finals of the Munster Schools Senior Cup with a 20-10 win over Glenstal Abbey on UL’s 4G rugby pitch this Tuesday.

Winger Paul Butler and hooker Mark O’Mara scored first half tries for Castletroy, while Conor Linehan added 10 points with the boot.

An open draw will be held once the quarter-finals are completed to decide on the semi-final pairings.
