Munster travel to the Stade de France to face Racing Metro in their opening Pool 1 fixture in next season’s Heineken Cup on Saturday, October 13 at 1.45pm Irish time.

The date with Leinster in the PRO12 a week earlier is seen as the ideal preparation for Munster’s Heineken Cup campaign.

Munster’s PRO12 tie withLeinster at the Aviva Stadium in October will have a 6.30pm kick-off time. The fixture will be televised live on TG4.

Munster commence their PRO12 campaign away to Edinburgh Rugby at Murrayfield on Saturday, September 1 at 8pm.

Rob Penney’s men face Benetton Treviso in their first home fixture in the competition six days later on Friday, September 7 at 8pm. TG4 will provide live coverage of the game.

Munster travel to Ravenhill to take on their Heineken Cup quarter-final opponents from last season, Ulster, on Friday, September 14 at 7.05pm in the first inter-provincial clash of the campaign.

Munster’s opening three home fixtures in the PRO12 against, Benetton Treviso, Newport Gwent Dragons and Italian side Zebre will all the played in Thomond Park.

Munster host the Scarlets in their first home competitive game at Musgrave Park of next season on Sunday, November 25 at 5.15pm.

Munster’s final PRO12 game before the crucial back to back Heineken Cup pool matches with Saracens in December will be a home tie against the Glasgow Warriors on the first of the month at Thomond Park at 7.45pm.

Munster, once again, face a hectic playing schedule over the Christmas and New Year’s period with two fixtures against Irish rivals in the space of a week.

First up, last season’s RaboDirect PRO12 semi-finalists Munster will travel to the Sportsground in Galway for a December 22 meeting with Connacht. Kick-off is at 5.15pm and the game will be televised live on TG4.

Munster host Ulster in an attractive home fixture in the League seven days later on Saturday, December 29. The inter-provincial clash has a 5.30pm kick-off and will be covered live on RTE.

On Saturday, January 5, Munster host the Cardiff Blues in the PRO12 at Musgrave Park at 7.30pm.

The game will be a ‘warm up’ fixture for the final two rounds of the Heineken Cup which take place on the following weekends.
