The Caherdavin club easily got the better of Ahane in Sunday’s Limerick’s Live 95FM-sponsored SHC to run out comfortable 2-18 to 0-13 winners in the Gaelic Grounds.

Shane Dowling was the Na Piarsaigh hero as he claimed the man of the match award after hitting a tally of 1-10. Na Piarsaigh were 1-12 to 0-7 ahead at the break, the goal coming from county star Kevin Downes.

Ahane rallied somewhat early in the second half but when Dowling got Na Piarsaigh’s second goal from a penalty, it settled the tie.
