CRESCENT Comp and CBC must do it all over again in their Munster Junior Cup semi-final after they drew 10-10 in Tom Clifford Park on Wednesday afternoon.
Coming just a day after the Crescent seniors had denied CBC in injury time in their semi-final replay, the juniors must meet a second time - this time at a Cork venue - to see who qualifies for a final meeting with surprise packets Castletroy College.
Inddeed the amazing sequence of draws goes even further sas this CBC team needed a replay to get the better of Rockwell in the quarter-final.
Crescent took the lead early through a Cian Clifford drop goal and although CBC leveled through their impressive outhalf Michael O’Halloran, centre Billy O’Hora crossed for the Crescent try and Clifford added the extras to leave it 10-3 at the break.
Crescent wouldn’t score again though and with 15 minutes remaining, Darragh Feeney went over for a try and O’Halloran duly added the conversion.
The Cork side had a chance to win it but O’Halloran was off target with his penalty attempt. The drama didn’t end there though and Crescent almost snatched another latew inner when Cliufford lined up a drop goal. His effort hit the post though and the final whistle went shortly afterwards.
The replay is fixed for next Tuesday at 3pm in Musgrave Park. That means that the final, previously fixed for next Wednesday, will also be pushed back.
