MARY Immaculate College is seeking permission to convert two homes into student accommodation units in Courtbrack Avenue.
The units - at 13 and 14 - will be converted from a single dwelling house to a student accommodation complex.
If the plans get the go-ahead, it will see the interiors changed to allow eight bedrooms, an unspecified number of bathrooms and living facilities.
An art room already at the complex will be used as a studio for any artist in residents at the college.
Cllr Joe Leddin is surprised at this development, saying he believed they would be used for college administration.
