Pike Rovers 5 Granville 0

The destination of the 2013/14 Premier League is firmly in the hands of Pike Rvs after the weekend games.

A 5-0 win over Granville coupled with results elsewhere means Pike can afford to lose one of their remaining seven games and still cannot be caught.

Pike’s run in has home games versus Ballynanty Rovers, Janesboro and Wembley and away games versus Carew Park, Corbally Utd, Geraldines and Regional Utd.

They still have a bit of work to do but a few major upsets are required.

Not for the first time this season John Tierney was Pike’s hero scoring three times following opening goals from Cian Collins and Reece Healy.

Geraldines hopes of catching Pike Rvs took a nose dive on Sunday morning when they fell by the only goal of the game to Ballynanty Rvs in Shelbourne Park.
