Sick and Housebound: For all those sick and home bound and who cannot get to mass on Saturday/Sunday, We are hoping to put in place a service where holy communion will be brought to you after mass at the weekends. Anyone interested in receiving holy communion please give your names to any sacristans. This service will not be replacing the first Friday calls, it will be additional call, and you will be getting benefit of receiving the blessed sacrament.

Eucharistic Adoration: Eucharistic Adoration continues in Foynes Church (Crying Chapel) every Thursday after the morning Mass until 10pm.

Relig Mhuire: The Rosary will be recited at Relig Mhuire on all Sundays of November at 3pm. Grave owners are asked to attend.

Folk Choir: Folk Choir practice takes place in Shanagolden Chruch on Tuesdays from 7pm to 8pm. New members are welcome. Contact Frances on 0863823056.

Foynes & District Community Council: We are holding “A Taste of Christmas” cookery demonstration night with chef Deidre Doody on Friday the 29th of November at 7.30pm.Tickets are €10 and available from Grainne Walsh,Rochelle Conroy and Foynes Pharmacy.We promise a great night out! Thanks to Reidys Centra for Sponsoring the demonstration. On December 1st we are holding our first Christmas Market.We have over 20 stalls confirmed and for one day only Santa will have his grotto in the community centre.We will also have kids entertainment and carol singing.

St Senans Social Services: Proposed early spring break 2014 is to Yeats Country Hotel Rosses Point Sligo. The rate is €335 per person sharing including 5 nights bed and breakfast and evening meal. Bus to and from Foynes daily tours except going to historic places where there will be a small entrance fee per person. The date is Sunday February 23rd to Friday 28th February. A saving scheme is now in operation and anyone wishing to participate can do so by contacting Anna at 069 65469.

MONEY SKILLS FOR LIFE: The National Consumer Agency (NCA) will be holding two ‘Money Skills for Life’ workshops in West Limerick on this Wednesday November 20th. Session one will take place at 11:30am in the Courtenay Lodge Hotel Newcastle West with a second session at 2pm in the Rathkeale House Hotel, Rathkeale. Topics include Sorting out your money; Saving and investing; Borrowing money and Dealing with debt. These workshops are an hour long and are free, but places are limited. Day Trip To Dublin: On Sunday 24th November, a coach will leave Newcastle West at 8am. A day to do as you please, meet a friend, take in the sights, ie museums, Trinity College or just browse around. Shanid Comhaltas: Irish music lessons take place every Thursday evening at 7pmin Shanagolden Hall.

St.Senans Social Services: St.Senans Social Services has opened their day centre after the summer break. The centre is open on Tuesdays at 2pm and people can have a chat , play bingo or cards or listen to music. The chiropodist will attend on the second Monday of each month at 1.30pm.

Estuary Rugby Football Club: Estuary Rugby has recommenced after the summer break and new players are welcome. Call to the Sportsfield in Shanagolden on Sunday mornings for more details.
