BRUFF HERITAGE GROUP: It is that time again and we are almost ready to launch the Third Edition of Images of Bruff. This will be done on the 30th of November after evening Mass (about 7.00p.m.). This year it will be done in the Old Courthouse building and we have to say that we are especially grateful to the Community Café for hosting the first two launches. This year the book looks like being a very special one and we are hoping to have a big crowd for the launch on the night. We have asked Tom O Donnell, former TD, Minister and Member of the European Parliament to launch the Book. He has agreed and we are delighted he has done so and we are looking forward to a great night. Teas and Coffees will also be served on the night. All are welcome.
BRUFF HERITAGE GROUP – CHRISTMAS MARKET: Please note a change of date is being announced for the Christmas Market it will now be held on Saturday 14th December and not the 7th as was stated last week. We will be holding the Christmas Market again in the Old Courthouse building. We will be hoping for the same success as we had in past years. STARS, CHOIRS & CAROLS: Help set a world record and join a choir for a day! Stars Choirs and Carols is set to take place in Croke Park on Thursday December 19 with the primary beneficiary of funds raised being Cliona’s Foundation. The church choirs of Lough Gur and Knockainey have agreed to join forces for the night as “Cliona’s Choir for a day” and are inviting people to join them in supporting this unique event, the brainchild of Richard Mulcahy, the Secret Millionaire. To help us we want YOU to join us on the night in Croke Park and assist in reaching our fundraising target of €1,000. The members of Lough Gur choir are holding a “Thanksgiving Table Quiz” at Reardons, Holycross on Friday night November 29th and are asking for your support on the night.

BRUFF CAMOGIE AGM: Bruff Camogie A.G.M. will take place on Saturday November 23rd at 8pm in the Bruff GAA Complex. The Club request that one parent of each girl playing camogie would attend please. It takes a lot of voluntary help to run a club and all assistance would be much appreciated.
RE-SCHEDULE OF COMMUNION PROGRAMME: The next Communion Programme was scheduled for 24th November it is now postponed until 1st Sunday of Advent which is December 1st.
HEALING THE FAMILY TREE MASS: will be celebrated in Knockainey Church on Monday November 25th at 7.30pm. Mass will be celebrated by Fr. John Walsh, individual blessing will take place on the night and water and salt will be blessed also. All are welcome.

80TH ANNIVERSARY OF ST. JOSEPH’S (COLAISTE IOSAEF) SECONDARY SCHOOL, KILMALLOCK: All past pupils are invited to a gathering to mark this event on Sunday, 24th November. There will be a special Mass in Kilmallock Church at 3.00pm followed by a gathering in the school afterwards. RASPBERRY RED BRUFF – FANTASTIC OPENING NIGHT: What a fantastic evening it was last Thursday at the official opening of Raspberry Red in Bruff. The shop was literally packed to capacity with wine and drinks flowing, canapés and a great fashion show. It is a fantastic, classy and modern women’s clothing shop with styles and sizes to suit everyone. We wish Margie, John, family and staff the very best of luck in their new venture.
COFFEE MORNING IN THE COMMUNITY CAFÉ: A coffee morning will be held in the Community Cafe on Wednesday 27th November from 10.30am to 12.30 in aid of the victims of typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. We will also be accepting donations of light clothing, men’s and women’s clothing, children’s and babies’ clothing, baby blankets etc. (No coats, jumpers or heavy clothing) A hamper will be raffled at the coffee morning. (Hamper kindly donated by Nagles in Bruff.) Please come come along for a coffee and a chat. All donations appreciated.”
