NOVENA: The recent Hospital Novena was very well supported. The variety of topics and the speakers was enjoyed by those who attended. the Hospital Novena has been on going for the past twenty years.

FUNDRAISER: Two years ago Michael “Doll” Real and Niall O’Sullivan went to France for a 600 mile cycle in aid of Children With Special Needs Travelling to Lourdes. That trip made enough money to send 409 children with special needs to Lourdes. Next April they will repeat this cycle, once again for children with special needs. To help raise funds a fundraising night will be held in Sully’s Bar, Hospital starting at 9.30pm, this Friday night. Music with Handipak, Nightfall, Tom Slattery with Ember for one only and Reverse the Hearse.. Admission €5 and some super prizes on the night.

SYMPATHY: Our sympathies to William Fox on the death of his Mother Susanne of Kildorrery, Co. Cork.

HEALING THE FAMILY TREE MASS: Will be held in Knockainey Church Monday November 25 at 7.30pm, celebrated by Fr. John Walsh. Individual blessing will take place on the night, water and salt will also be blessed. All are welcome.

MILFORD HOSPICE: A sponsored walk for Milford Hospice takes place November 24 starting from the community hall at 1pm, taking in the ring of Knockainey. Sponsor card available from committee members.

GAA: The club offer their sympathies to the Fox family and Fitzpatrick family on their recent loss..

INDOOR HURLING: Every Thursday in the secondary school gym from 6 – 7s and for U7s down. New players very welcome, with a 7 – 8 slot for U8s to U11s.

GEAR: Jerseys, helmets and hurley’s are available from the club. Contact any Bord na Nog coach. These could make ideal Christmas gifts.

CALENDAR: The new Bord na nOg calendar for 2014 is on sale from this Thursday from any club coach or committee member and will also be on sale in the local shops. Calendars are €5 each and will make ideal Christmas gifts. These calendars will help the club in fundraising for hurley’s etc., for the young players. Thanks to Bord na nOg secretary Ann Marie Bagnell for all her work in putting this, the first Bord na nOg underage team based calendar together and coordinating with printers in putting this excellent calendar, with some great team photos and photos throughout the year into it,

The club are grateful to all the local businesses who took out ads in the calendar, which, without their support the club’s fundraising efforts would be so much harder.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETINGS: The AGM will be held Friday November 29 at 7.30pm in the clubhouse, Hospital. All are welcome to attend. Hopefully a large crowd will be attend to review the past year and discuss plans, ideas and aims for next year.

The senior board AGM will take place the following week, December 5.

INTER COUNTY SEASON TICKETS: Limerick GAA has confirmed that the GAA season ticket for 2014 is now available for hurling and football.
