COLLECTION: A collection to aid of the victims of the disaster in the Philippines and Syria will be taken up at all masses this Sunday November 24. Parishioners wishing to make a donation to ease the hardship of these unfortunate people are asked to use the green envelope marked special collection, and state which country you would like to support or both.

APPRECIATION: The Local Branch of the Irish Heart Foundation would like to thank all those who contributed to their recent church gate collection. They also thank the volunteers who manned the collection boxes. The sum of 220 euro was raised.

HISTORY STUDY: Invitation to People wishing to take part in a local Oral History Study.

An Oral and Archival Research Project to coincide with the upcoming Launch of a much anticipated book, North Kerry Line 1888-1977’. A social study is to be carried out in conjunction with a study of Oral Heritage in the University of Limerick. Topics to be covered and Interview process:

What was life like before, during & after the Railway? Did Family have a history on the Railway life? Memories of incidents, Historical events and anything else that stands out. GAA LOTTO: There was no draw held last week as a mark of respect to the Langan family on the death of Maurice Langan of the Square. This week’s Lotto will take place in Thomas Coolahan’s Bar. Thanks to all who continue to support our Lotto.

U-16 Tarbert/Moyvane U-16 qualified for the Division 3 final with a comprehensive victory over Ballyduff last Sunday. They now play either Beale or Duagh in the final.

MATCH REPORT: Tarbert travelled to Skellig Rangers last Sunday for the final County League game, both teams shared the points on a scoreline of 0-12 each. This division proved very close and a victory for Tarbert could have meant promotion to Division 1. Well done to the team and management on an excellent county league campaign.
