Monaleen Bridge Club: The Bridge Club reopened on Thursday September 12 at 7.45pm. For September the Club is open and all Bridge players are welcome.

Plassey Bridge Club: Members please note the Bridge Club reopened on Monday September 9 last.

Exercises for Active Older Adults: Osteofit – Exercise for strong bones and good balance. Osteofit classes restarted on Wednesday September 4 in Monaleen GAA Hall at 2pm. The class is aimed at healthy independent active older adults. It involves a warm up, followed by exercises to help prevent falls and improve balance, strength, posture and bone density as well as some flexibility and relaxation. There is no commitment from you. You can come along whenever you can. Find out more on You are invited to a complimentary first class and then the cost is €8 per session. Regulars and newcomers always welcome.

Set dancing: Set dancing classes are back in GAA club on Thursday nights starting September 12/ Beginners from 7pm – 8pm. Advanced from 8.00pm – 9.15pm. All welcome. Contact Pat O’Dea 087 2577761 for further information

Monaleen Parish Choir: The Parish Choir resumed rehearsals on Wednesday 11. We have 31 members on the books at present: 12 sopranos, 9 altos, 4 tenors and 6 bass. However, new members are always very welcome, so lift up the phone and dial 332507 (Tom Clinton), 337147 (Marie Breen) or 333838 (Josephine Browne). Singing in a choir is very therapeutic so come along and join the happy people! Rehearsals are held in the church on Wednesday from 20.00 to 21.30 and we sing the Mass on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month.

NCBI (Working for People with Sight Loss): Is looking for male community-based volunteer to assist a visually impaired person in the Ballysimon area. Castletroy CCE: Want to learn an Instrument? Want to Dance ceilí, set or steps? Would you like to learn traditional Irish singing or practice your Gaeilge? Classes on Thursday evenings between 4-7pm include: Concertina, Box, fiddle, Banjo, flute, whistle, Bodhrán, guitar Singing, Group ensemble, Dancing, Gaeilge. Monaleen/Milford Active Retirement Assoc.: Are meeting after their summer break on Monday September 16 at 11am in Monaleen GAA Clubhouse and each following Monday thereafter. All are most welcome.

Milford Hospice Coffee Morning: The annual Milford hospice coffee morning and raffle is being held on September 19 from 10 Monaleen G.A.A clubhouse. Please come along and support this worth cause.

ICA Castletroy: ICA Castletroy is meeting on Tuesday September 17 at 8pm in Monaleen GAA Club. There will be a talk by a Beauty and Skin Care Consultant. All Ladies welcome.
