Weddings: Heartiest congratulations to: Thomas Maguire, son of John and Catherine of Bruree and Martina Russell, daughter of John and Martha of Mulcair Drive, Annacotty.

Eugene McGovern, son of Dermot and Rosemary of Dooradoyle and Valerie Fitzgerald, daughter of David and Marie of Monaleen Heights.

We wish Thomas and Martina and Eugene and Valerie a long and happy life together.

First Holy Communion: Cards and gift items will be available to purchase here in Monaleen Church on the weekends of April 28th and May 5th.

Epilepsy Ireland: Epilepsy Ireland has organised a workshop on stress for people with epilepsy, their family or carers. A number of places are set for health care professionals. The workshop will differentiate between pressure, anxiety and stress and how to recognise signs of a change within us of physical, mental and emotional nature. This will be followed by sessions on techniques to manage these signs. It will take place on Saturday, May 4th in Kilmurry Lodge Hotel. A “BIG THANK YOU”: Monaleen Cancer Support Group would like to thank everybody who participated in our recent Fundraising Walk/Run. 500 Walkers and 250 Runners took part on the day. The magnificent sum of €11,000 was raised. A very sincere thank you to all who helped in any way, your generosity is much appreciated.

Charity Fundraising Cycle: Deirdre (O’Meara) & Eoghan Sadlier took part in a charity fundraising cycle in Blessington last weekend, in aid of the Ronald McDonald House, Crumlin Children’s Hospital. Deirdre & Eoghan are hoping to raise over €5,000 for the Ronald McDonald House, which provides a “home from home” for families of children receiving long-term treatment in Crumlin, and where Deirdre and Eoghan stayed while their baby boy Luke was critically ill. Gaelscoil: Junior Infant Intake / Naíonáin Shóisir: There are spaces available in the Junior Infant classes for September in the 2 new Junior Infant classes. Teacher: Pupil ratios currently 1: 21. Places also available in all other classes.
