TABLE QUIZ: Kilteely/Dromkeen Mayoral candidate Breda O Grady is holding a campaign fundraiser in Aherns bar Kilteely on Sat 4th May at 9.30pm.Team of 4 - €20. Raffle on the night with great prizes. Come along and join in the fun.

JOG FOR JOHN: John O’ Dea would like to join him on his 5km Fun Run/Jog/Walk as part of his “Mayor of Kilteely” campaign, on 28th of April. Starting from Kilteely church at 12pm. Sponsorship cards can be obtained from John at 087 1327087 to enter. Kids free.

GET-TOGETHERS: this months Get-togethers will be held on Weds 24th April from 8pm to 10pm. It is hoped for a good attendance.

SOCCER: Our U10s travelled to Martinstown on Saturday last for their final blitz of the season.With six teams attending everyone got plenty of game time as we had five games. Overall we had a great season and with the addition of a few new players we look forward to next season with great optimism. Well done to all the players and especially to manager Anthony McCarthy who organised all the games. Well done to Patrick Rodahan who recently made the final panel for the County U14 Kennedy Cup panel and also to Brian O’Grady who is playing on the U13 County Team. We will have a presentation night for the U14 league winners very soon,see local notes for details.

COMMUNITY GAMES: Children and their managers for Skittles can be getting their teams sorted out now as teams must be registered by May 1st. Age groups are U/12, U/14 and U/16.

We are looking for some parents to help at the Athletics training which should be starting soon. Please text 0872657769 if you can help in any way.

This year as we have nine children representing both our Area and Limerick at the national finals in Athlone at the end of May.We will be holding a cake sale in Cill Bhride on Sunday May 19th at 11.30am. We hope that this will help to defray some of the costs. More details later.

The U12 girls soccer team played their first game last Saturday in Monaleen. This was our first time back in the competition after a number of years. While we did not have success against a stronger Monaleen team, we still have two more games to play in the group and we look forward to this. Many thanks to Mary Thompson for managing the team.

SHAPE UP FOR THE SUMMER: a new fun 12 week weight loss group is starting on Monday 29th April at 7.30pm, in Hospital Family Resource Centre. You will get helpful hints and advice, information on good nutrition and long term health. Go on - lets be ready for the sun, when it does arrive!! Would you like to learn a new sport in an fun and relaxed environment? Hospital Tennis Club are organising tennis coaching for new players or for those who want to refresh their tennis skills. Coaching starts on Monday 30th and continues on Tues 7th May, Mon 13th May, Mon 20th May and Mon 27th May. Its a great way to exercise, meet new people and learn a new sport.
