PRESENTATION: In the Arch Bar last Friday the Herbertstown Friends of Milford Hospice presented Geraldine O’ Sullivan with a cheque for €6,000, 70 the proceeds of a recent fund raising event. Geraldine on behalf of the Hospice thanked all who made this event successful.

ENROLMENT: Now is the time to enrol in Herbertstown school for 2013 / 2014. Forms available from the school or telephone 061 385340. Forms will be sent out shortly to those who have already applied.

TABLE QUIZ : Herbertstown H.D.A. will hold a table quiz in the village hall on this Friday, April 26 at 8.30 pm. Sporting equipment is needed for the community field and a team of four is €7.50 each.

FIRST: Congratulations to Tadgh O’ Connor a pupil in Herbertstown school, senior infants, on coming first in his category for the Limerick annual hand writing competition. A great achievement Tadgh , well done.

LADIES FOOTBALL: St. Brigid’s beat St. Ailbe’s in the under 14 grade at Herbertstown last Saturday 6-8 to 4-9. Scorers - Keely Baggott 1-4, Ciara Clancy 2-1, Nicola Kenny 2-1, Katie Collins 1-0, Tara Rogers 0-2.

LEAGUE SUCCESS : Congratulations to Donie Reale on winning a National Hurling League medal with London in the final versus Meath in Newbridge. Donie now plays his club hurling with Kilburn Gaels in London.
