St.Senans Social Services: St. Senans Social Services have a book on sale entitled Memories 45 blian ag fas. It is on sale in all shops in Shanagolden and Foynes and the Foynes Boat Museum. It is dedicated to the senior citizens past present and future of Foynes, Robertstown, Barrigone and Shanagolden. It costs €5.
Pilgrimage To Taize: There will be a pilgrimage to Taize on Thursday July 4th to Tuesday July 9th 2013 Pilgrimage is for over 18 and will cost €595. It will include 4 days in Taize and 2 days in Paris including a trip to Euro disney. Contact Limerick Diocese for booking and details.
Chiropodust: The Chiropodust will attend the 2nd Monday of each month in Foynes Community Centre at 1.30pm.
Day Centre and Exercise Night: Day Centre and Exercise Nights will resume again the end of February in Foynes Community Centre.
St.Senans Social Services: Our early spring break takes place on 17th February to 22nd February. This year we are going to The Great Northern Hotel Bundoran. €335 for the 5 days. Bed, Breakfast, Evening meals plus entertainment nightly also tours daily.
The Witness: The witness is a powerful musical/drama which tells the story of the life, death and resurrection of Christ, through the eyes of St.Peter. Its being staged in the magnificent new Lime Tree Theatre, in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th March. Coming as it does so close to the end of Lent, its an ideal way of taking some time out in preparation for the up-coming feast of Easter and doing so in a comfortable and enjoyable setting. MEETING RE PROPOSED CHANGES TO WEST LIMERICK RESOURCES: West Limerick Resources is holding a series of public meetings to highlight the potential impact of recent proposed changes by the government which could put the future existence of the local and community development company into question. The independent not for profit company is asking all members of the local community to attend one of its upcoming meetings to find out more and support its efforts to have the community’s voice heard in discussions on how these proposals are to be implemented. Meetings are scheduled to take place in the Glorach Theatre Abbeyfeale on February 7th and Rathkeale Community Centre on February 11th. Both commence at 7.30pm. A final meeting will take place in the Desmond Complex Newcastle West at 8pm on February 13th. All are welcome.

St.Senans: Intermediate Football Draw 2013: The Griffins Coachs Intermediate championship football 2013 draw took place in The Woodlands House Hotel in Adare on 6th February. We were drawn in group 2 with Claughan, St.Marys/Sean Finns, Croom, Mungret and Athea. The first round of fixtures will take place on the weekend of the 28th April, but this date may change to the first weekend in May depending on how Limerick progress in Division 4 of the allianz football league.
