BEST FIFTEEN: At a recent sporting event which took place in the south Tipperary capital, a number of locals began talking about our beloved GAA club. The discussion centred on the best 15 who wore the famed green and white. There was general agreement on the spine of team, but the other positions created quite a debate. If you have any ideas you can contact us on facebook or twitter.

TROCAIRE BOXES: As you are probably aware Lent begins on this Ash Wednesday, February 13 and will continue for forty days until Easter Sunday. Your Trocaire box has arrived and can be collected from the table at the back of the chapel. This year is the 40th anniversary of Trocaire and your extraordinary generosity over the years has made a real and lasting difference. The money you donate, however small, will support some of the poorest communities in the world to work their way out of poverty. The best method is to put whatever you can afford into your Trocaire box every day.

€2 a day will help landless families to secure land to farm, grow food and earn an income, €2 a day will provide families with agricultural training to ensure better harvests and a more reliable source of food. €2 a day will help communities set up a savings and loans scheme, providing families with the capital to buy land or start a small business.

As a parish we’ve always ended up right at the top end of the league.
