LIMERICK WEST GIY: with the aim of inspiring people to grow their own food will hold its February meeting on Thursday 21st February @ 7.00pm sharp in D&M Garden Centre, Croagh with new growers and old hands all welcome. This month’s talk will be given by Rachael O’Grady who will speak about fruit trees. With the new growing season starting to get into gear this talk will be excellent for both the new grower and the experienced old hands. There will also be a small piece about potatoes with the emphasis be on taste, disease resistance etc.

GIY’s vision is for a healthier, more connected and more sustainable world where people grow their own food. The organisation brings people together in community groups and online to inspire and empower them to grow vegetables. More information from www.giyireland.com.
