I AM hoping that you will all support us on Thursday, October 23 in St Mary’s Cathedral for the Limerick International Fashion Student Awards.

With students coming from across Europe, Great Britain and Ireland this promises to be a unique, design-led fashion event with €10,000 for the winner from Brown Thomas and an internship in Canada with Frank Lyman. This event is what Limerick city is all about when it comes to style, fashion and creativity. We are very proud here in Limerick to be able to present this in association with the Limerick City of Culture and Limerick Marketing. We are honoured to have Valerie Campbell, mother of supermodel Naomi Campbell, joining us on the celebrity judging panel for the awards. As part of this fashion extravaganza, we will be presenting an exclusive staging of some of Ireland’s talented and renowned milliners. Tickets are available from the Limerick Leader office at 54 O’Connell Street in the city.

A QUICK reminder that on Friday, October 24, we we have another fashion treat for you with our Fashion Trail as part of the Limerick Style Festival. The event will see all the top fashion stores from around Limerick hosting their own coffee mornings and afternoon teas as they showcase their autumn winter collections in their own in-house fashion shows. I urge you to give your favourite store a call and join them for a cup of coffee or a glass of bubbly!
