ADORATION: Eucharistic Adoration will take place in the Sacristy on Wednesdays, beginning on January 15th, times from 10am to 7pm.
WEDDING: The marriage took place in the Holy Trinity Church Adare, on Monday December 30th of Joe McMahon of Mount Russell, Ardpatrick and Naomi Richardson of Thurles, Co. Tipperary. The chief celebrant was Rev. Fr. Michael Hanley P.P. Kilfinane assisted by Rev. Fr. Anthony Bluett, Ardpatrick, the reception was held in Dunraven Arms Hotel also in Adare, best wishes to the couple.
DANCE VENUE CLOSED: People over a wide area are very sorry to see the closure of the popular Greenwood Inn Dancing Lounge, the final dance took place earlier this week, it will be business as usual in the Back Bar. John and Mary Quilty are taking a step back from business after giving so much to the local and the wider community. The official take over of the Back Bar will be on this Saturday night January 11th. Teresa, a daughter of John and Mary along with her husband Adrian and family will continue the business, best wishes to them all.
WALKS: Ballyhoura Bears have a moderate “A” walk on Sunday January 12th meet Glenanaar Car park at 10am, about 5 hours duration, contact 086-409 1351. Also on Sunday there is a “B” walk starting from Glenroe Community Centre at 11am, 3-4hours, contact 087-134 0549. Thursday night walk from Glenanaar car park at 7.30, Saturday walk from Ardpatrick Community Centre at 11am.
