LOUGH GUR 2014 CALENDER: Lough Gur 2014 calendar is now on sale at Ryan’s Holycross and Nagles Bruff. This collection of 12 photos were all sent to the Lough Gur facebook page over the last year and features some beautiful photos of the area. It’s an ideal Christmas gift for those living away from home. Cost is €10 and all proceeds go to the recent refurbishment project at the Heritage Centre. All support greatly appreciated.

HIGH PLAINS TRADITION FROM COLORADO, USA: BGM Community Council have been fortunate to secure a performance by the above highly sought after band in the Church of Ireland, Bruff on Tuesday 21st January 2014 at 8pm. Doug Elrick is one of the finest songwriters and mandolin players this side of the Mississippi. Ron Lynam in one of the finest banjo players in the West. Steve Gilmore plays hard-driven guitar and he can hit the vocal harmonies that are the mainstay of the band. Boddie Vicery’s powerful, cutting edge voice and his stellar fiddle work brings a whole new dimension. Kenny Pabst is the heartbeat of the band with his rock solid bass keeping the train on track. This is a performance not to be missed. Tickets can be obtained from BGM Community Council members.
