Exercise Classes: Exercise classes continue in Loughill Resource Centre every Friday night from 7.00 – 8.00 p.m.

Glin Library: A lovely exhibition of paintings by Pauline Sharp, Glenbawn, Ballyhahill is being held in Glin library from Tuesday next November 5th. Pauline specialises in animals especially horses and her work is greatly admired. Everyone is welcome to come in and view. The library is closed all this week but it will be re-opening Tuesday next 5th November.

Day Trip to Dublin: There is a day trip to Dublin Sunday November 24. This is a day where you can do as you please. The bus leaves Newcastle West at 8.00 am. For further details or to book your seat please contact Maureen at 087/9845102.

Film on the Divine Mercy and St. Faustina: A film is available on the Divine Mercy and St. Faustina. Anyone wishing to show this film to a group of people in their own home or in the local hall should contact Bernard or Rita at 067/33001 or 087/2612410.

Afternoon and Tea Dance: Afternoon tea dancing has returned to Carrigkerry Community Centre every Sunday from 2.30 to 5.30 p.m.

All Souls and all Saints Day: Friday is the 1st November and the first Friday of the month. Mass in Ballyhahill Church at 9.00 am that morning.

Saturday the 2nd of November is all Saints Day and it is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass in Ballyhahill Church at 10.00 a.m. that morning and again at 6.00 p.m. in Loughill Church that evening

Plenary Indulgence

You can gain a plenary indulgence for the holy souls from 12.00 noon on 1st November until midnight on 2nd November, confessed, received Holy Communion and prayed for the Pope’s intentions by saying one our father and one hail mary or any prayer of your choice and visiting a church or oratory, and there reciting one our Father and the apostle’s creed. You can go to confession any time within the week preceding or the week following the 1st November to the 8th November.

Visit a Cemetry

The faithful who visit a cemetery and pray for the dead may gain a plenary indulgence for the Holy Souls on the usual conditions once per day again from 1st to the 8th November. The usual conditions mentioned apply also for this indulgence.

Rosary in Loughill Graveyard:

The Rosary will be recited in Loughill graveyard this Sunday 3rd November at 3.00 pm for all the faithful departed.

Charity Ceili

There is a charity ceili in The Devon Inn in Templeglantine for Fr. Chriss O’Donnell’s (Templeglantine) SCA missions in Argentina this Saturday night 2nd November. Tickets €8.00. Your support will be greatly appreciated.

Change of Mass Times

Masses will change next weekend. Please note Saturday evening Mass will be in Loughill Church at 6.00 p.m. and in Ballyhahill Church Sunday morning at 10.00 a.m.
