GAA WAX-OFF: Members and supporters of our GAA club turned out in force in The Stroller Bar, Ballyneety last Friday where some brave members had their bodies waxed in public to raise funds for Milford Hospice. The camogie club also offered up a few victims. One after another these fearless men rolled up their trousers and removed their shirts to have various parts of their bodies waxed for this worthy cause. To their credit, only a few of them cried, but they admitted that it was a more terrifying experience than they ever had on the playing field. Sincere thanks to Dan Sheehy, our excellent MC, to the girls from the local Beauty Clinic (who gave their time and equipment for free), and to Matt Rea proprietor (who also got waxed). Special thanks to County star Declan Hannon who took time out of his busy schedule to attend.

KILPEACON GAA: Congratulations to our super U18 Football team and their coaches who claimed the County title last weekend. This was a fitting reward for this hard-working team which has trained so diligently all year. Turn to the Sports pages for full match report. A reminder also that our annual underage fund-raising table quiz takes place as usual in Yellowtown on 15th November. So, get your thinking hats on and round up your teams for this great event which is specifically for underage development.
