TIDY TOWNS: The AGM of Hospital Tidy Towns was held last week and the following officer have been elected. Chairperson Mattie Quirke, assistant chairperson Mike Linnane. Four representatives from Tidy Towns attended the Limerick in Bloom Competition results which were held in the Woodland Hotel, Adare. Hospital received two Certificates of Participation. One for was the Voluntary Housing Association and the other for Hospital Tidy Towns. Well done to our nearest neighbours, Kilteely and Knockainey who are the recipients of cash awards.
COFFEE EVENING: Ann-Marie Bagnell would like to thanks everyone who supported her coffee evening in aid of Milford Hospice. A cheque for €1,660 was presented to Milford Hospice. Thanks also to all the sponsors, those who baked and helped on the night, your support is much appreciated.
GAA: The senior board AGM takes place 28 November.
INDOOR HURLING: No indoor hurling this week for the Halloween week, back again next week.
GEAR: The club has hurley’s helmets and gum shields for sale, all at reduced prices to the players.
JERSEYS: The club are ordering club replica jersey’s. They will make great Christmas presents, anyone wishing to order, any size from 3 – 4 up to adult please order by November 1 from any coach or Bord na nOg committee member.
CALENDAR: Bord na nOg club are presently putting together a calendar based on the underage teams from this year. This will be on sale to everyone from the end of November. Calendars will be on sale through all coaches and local shops, so keep an eye out for yours.
SCHOOLS: Congratulations to Eli Whelan, Oisin O’Grady and Killian Real who were part of the John the Baptist team who claimed County honours last week.
