There was no winner of the jackpot. Lucky dips to Eileen Tynan, Tony McDonagh, Larry O’Connell and Muriel O’Sullivan.

Next week’s jackpot will be €4,700.

CHURCH NEWS: Minister of the Word is Anne McMahon for Saturday November 2, Pat Nash for Sunday November 3

The Eucharistic Ministers are Mairead Lynch and Anne McMahon for Saturday, Josephine Horan and Kathleen Holland for Sunday.

Masses for all Souls and All Saints days: are as follows, on Thursday October 31, Vigil Mass at 8pm.

Friday November 1 Feast of all Saints at 11.00am. Saturday November 2, Feast of All Souls at 8pm.

On Sunday November 3 there will be Prayers in Kilcornan Cemetery after 11am Mass.

The annual Mass for our bereaved will be on Monday Nov 4 at 8pm.

On Sunday November 10 there will be Prayers in Castletown cemetery after 11 am Mass.

SYMPATHY: Sympathy is extended to the family of the late Mary Bennett née O’Connell, Blossomhill, formerly of Ballymurphy, Crecora.

Mary is survived by daughter Anne, sons Hugh, Mark, Nicholas, Andrew, Simon, Jonathan, sister Rita, granddaughter Evie, nephews, nieces, extended family and her many friends.

She was laid to rest in Crecora on Wednesday after Requiem Mass in Crecora Church. May she rest in peace.

BEREAVEMENT INFORMATION: Anam Cara Bereavement Information Evening. Anam Cara provides support services to bereaved parents and families throughout Ireland after the death of a son or daughter.

On Saturday 2nd November, Anam Cara’s 2013 Awareness Campaign will be launched at the Anam Cara Remembrance Event being held in Athlone. Throughout November there will be Bereavement Information Evenings for parents. These events are provided free of charge and are open to all bereaved parents.

COMMUNITY HALL REFURBISHMENT: Kilcornan Community Council are currently upgrading the entrance hall, Kitchen and Bar Area of the Community Centre and plan to have this work completed by mid November.

Your help on Saturday, November 9 would be very much appreciated. Beginning at 10 am we will paint the stage and the lower wall section of the main hall. If you are available on that day, please bring any paint brushes or rollers you may have. This is a wonderful opportunity for each and everyone of us to give something back to this great facility in our Community.
