CHILD PROTECTION: The parish of Fedamore is committed to ensuring that best practice safeguarding children standards are being implemented, so that we can ensure the safety and wellbeing of our children, young people and adults who work with them. Over the next few weeks our local safeguarding representative will be contacting those groups in the parish, who work with children, to offer support and help. If you are involved with a parish group working with children and need advice about membership forms / garda vetting or other policy issues, please feel free to contact our local safeguarding representative Mary Sadlier. MASS OF REMEMBRANCE: On Saturday November 23, at the 7pm Mass, we will remember, by name, those who died in the last 12 months. Those who died in the Parish, anyone you wish to remember who died away from the Parish or anyone with Parish connections. Cards will be available on November 9, in the church. You are asked to fill in details.

SHOE BOX APPEAL: As the Community Centre is not available this year, we are filling Shoe Boxes in Meanus Community Centre on Saturday November 9, from 10am to 1.30pm. Anyone who ahs fillers fore boxes, i.e., copybooks, soap, toothpaste, sweets (non chocolate), hats, scarfs, gloves, etc., for 3 to 14yrs – boys or girls – please bring to Meanus or drop off to Maureen Mc Mahon any time. Many thanks for your support.

LOTTO: Castle Rovers weekly lotto draw was held in The Ranch Bar. Numbers drawn were 7 – 11 – 16 – 21. No outright winner. Match 3 – Seamus Enright, Skule; Jamie Haigney, Ballinagarde. New weeks jackpot is €8,900. Your support is appreciated.

RECENT WEDDING: The wedding took place recently of Eoghan Hurley, Skule, to Emer Cremin. The wedding ceremony took place in St. Joseph’s Church, Riverstick on Friday last and the reception was held in The Carlton Hotel, Kinsale, Co. Cork. Congratulations to them both.
