ARDPATRICK REMEMBERED: Ardpatrick born bishop John Fleming is now in the final stages of compiling information on Ardpatrick people who entered religious life and worked both at home and on missionary work all over the world, so much information is now gathered, that it will be published in book form and is about to go to the printers. The book will be launched on Saturday evening August 3rd during the Na Fianna Festival, Bishop Fleming has done an amazing amount of research into the project with the help of a number of local people, the publication will be a wonderful insight into the lives of our own people all over the globe, unfortunately many are now deceased, the title of the book is Ardpatrick Remembered.
LIMERICK WIN: Great to see our county team having a win over Tipperary in the Munster hurling championship last Sunday, congratulations to Blackrock clubman Richie Mc Carthy for being awarded “man of the match”, also to Stephan Walsh a member of the teaching staff at Ardpatrick National School.
