LOUGH DERG PILGRIMAGE: A number of people from the parish have expressed an interest in going to Lough Derg for a three day pilgrimage. Abbey Coaches are running buses on Tuesday 2nd July and Friday 26th July with pick up in Limerick City. The cost is €120 which includes bus, boat, accommodation and “refreshments” on the island. You may have considered going at some stage but did not know where to start or did not fancy going with strangers so now is an ideal opportunity. SUMMER CAMPS 2013: Bruff Community Pre-school Ltd., Bandroom, Bruff, Co. Limerick - 086 1056864. Mon. 1st July – Fri 26th July. 10am to 1.30pm. Age Group: Week 1 : 1st – 5th July: 8 – 10 year olds. Week 2: 8th – 12th July: 6 – 8 year olds. Week 3: 15th – 19th July: 3 – 5 year olds. Week 4: 22nd to 26th July: 5 - 7 year olds: Price €10 per day or €45 per week. €20 Deposit will secure a place. Some activities of the camp include, Buntus Programme, Team Games, Penalty shoot outs, Obstacle course, Sports & Games, Balloon mouth, Rounders, BBQ, Trip to Lough Gur, Trip to Garda Station, Picnic and Bouncy Castle. Indoor Activities: Arts & Crafts, Tie Dying, Play dough, Puzzles, Charades, Bingo , Art Bus, Making Smoothies/ Fruit Juice, Small world play, Cake decorating and Exercise to music. Children are fully supervised at all times, Summer camp staff are highly qualified in Childcare with many years experience. Our Volunteers are Garda Vetted and have several years experience working with children. Please wear sportswear and runners and bring a packed lunch, lots of drinks, a sunhat, suncream and rain gear. SOLEMN NOVENA IN THE REDEMPTORIST CHURCH: The Annual Solemn Novena in honour of Our Mother of Perpetual Help begins next Friday, June 14th, at the Redemptorist Church, Mount St. Alphonsus, Limerick and carries on for nine days until Saturday, June 22nd. There are 10 sessions each day, beginning at 7am, and the last at 10.30pm. People can find all the details, and hear and see live all sessions of the novena, in any part of the world, through our webpage at www.novena.ie. It’s also possible to download the novena booklet, light a candle, and send in your petitions and thanksgivings through the same webpage address. You can also contact the novena through Facebook at redemptoristslimerick. The theme for this year is ‘Standing firm in the faith - Remembering Vatican ll 50 years on’. This wonderful festival of faith has become a great gift and treasure for the people of Limerick, and surrounding areas, for almost 40 years now.
