Youth Club: The leaders would like to welcome back all our members to another fun-filled year and also to extend a warm welcome to our ten new members. We hope to have a very eventful year again after last year’s excitement, which included winning the St Patrick’s Day parade in Tipperary Town and a number of winning acts in the Variety Show. Times: 7:00 - 8:30pm.

Jubilee Gathering: A special occasion in association with the nationwide ‘Gathering’ festivities, will take place on October 19, when the Lattin/Sologhead combination of 1963 will be commemorated at a dinner dance in Ballykisteen Hotel. The majority of players from that era will attend what promises to be a very special occasion. Tickets, available at €25, include dinner at 8.30pm followed by music with the Glenside Ramblers. Tickets can be purchased from any committee member. This is sure to be a great night of fun, memories, stories, dancing and laughter.

Soccer: The Junior A teams was eliminated from the FAI Junior Cup last Sunday in Burncourt. The game finished scoreless, with the home team going through on penalties. Next Sunday in the Tipperary Cup the team is away to Clerihan, while the B team make the short journey to Donohill.

In underage competition, an under strength 16s team lost its unbeaten record to Meanus. The final score was 2 – 0 to the visitors.

Tidy Towns: The newly formed Tidy Towns committee in Cullen have being working tirelessly in recent weeks to improve the overall appearance of the village. Litter has been collected and the hedgerows and grass verges along all the approach roads have been cut back. A new stone wall is also under construction on the Monard Road where the old Sweep’s Gate entrance is been restored.
