BALLYGIBLIN UNDER 15 HURLERS: Ballygiblin Under 15 hurlers got their Rebel Og Premier (2) Co championship off to a winning start when they had a good win over Eire Og in Mourneabbey on Monday night last. Eire Og started well and had some good points early on leading 0-4 to 0-1. Ballygiblin improved greatly and their four points in the first half by Sean Walsh and George Pendle (3) had them level at the break 0-4 each.

MITCHELSTOWN FOOTBALLERS: Mitchelstown Junior A footballers who defeated Kilmichael a month ago in the CO JAFC quarter final are still awaiting their semi final opponents. They are fixed to play on Monday night October 28 in Pairc Ui Rinn against Belgooly or the winners of Glenbower Rovers/Lisgoold. Regardless of the pairing the Co final is scheduled for Sunday November 3 in Pairc Ui Rinn.

GLANWORTH LADIES LOSE OUT: Glanworth Ladies lost out to Ballylanders in the Munster JFC at Kildorrery on Saturday. It was a low scoring contest with the South Limerick girls winning out by 0-8 to 1-3. KILDORRERY HURLERS INTO CO IHL FINAL: Kildorrery Intermediate hurlers travelled to Ahavine on Sunday last where they faced Fr O’ Neill’s for the right to meet Charleville in the Co IHL final. Kildorrery dominated for most of the game and ran out winners by 5-16 to 4- 8.
