FIFTH GREEN FLAG FOR CASTLECONNELL NS: On Thursday, June 20 the pupils, parents and staff of Castleconnell N.S. will be raising their fifth Green Flag. The school community have been awarded the fifth Green Flag for biodiversity. In order to receive the 5th green flag a school community is required to ensure the school environment supports biodiversity, it is intended that this will lead to a deeper understanding of biodiversity in the local community. Work for this 5th green flag has really shown how the school and local community can work together. We have been supported hugely by the Castleconnell Tidy towns committee. In fact the hard work of the committee has ensured that we will be proudly flying all 5 of our green flags over the summer months. All members of the community are invited along to celebrate this wonderful achievement for the entire community of Castleconnell. Make it a date in your diary: Thursday 20th of June at 12.50 p.m.
